A little about your privacy.
The Hand & Kin interest forms collect what we need to understand interest in the first collection and, with your permission, contact you about it.
What we save
Your email address, whether you joined as a buyer or maker, optional interests or shop link, and the craft you select as a maker. We also save the signup source, campaign tags in the page URL, the consent wording version and time, your current preference, and email-service acceptance receipts.
What joining means
The buyer list is for collection updates and occasional news. The maker list is separate permission to contact you about joining as a maker. Joining does not create an account, approve a shop, or give us permission to publish your name, work or story.
Interest is initially saved as unconfirmed. When email confirmation is enabled, a new signup requests a confirmation email. Use the button on the linked page to confirm your address; opening the link alone does not confirm it. The link expires after 24 hours. An email service accepting a message does not guarantee delivery. A saved signup or private preference link is not proof of email ownership.
Your private preference link
A new signup receives a private link. Keep it to leave the list or save your interest again. We also try to save it in this browser so you can return through Manage your interest. Confirmation emails also include a separate private preference link. Anyone with a preference link can change that list’s preference; don’t share it. Confirming your address replaces the original browser link, while the emailed preference links remain usable.
Leaving the list suppresses future updates. We retain the record and suppression preference so entering the same email again does not silently resubscribe you. It does not delete all stored details. Saving your interest again requires fresh consent and a new email confirmation. Buyer and maker preferences are separate.
Analytics and access
Form values and private preference tokens are not sent to our analytics. Campaign tags help us understand where interest comes from. The site uses Google Analytics on public pages. The preference and confirmation pages do not initialize analytics, and private links are removed from the address bar before analytics can load. Contact details are kept in our application database; public endpoints do not expose the list.
If you lose the link
Check the browser you used to sign up. For an unconfirmed signup, you can explicitly request another confirmation email on the preference page. It contains a private preference link. Requests are limited to one per minute and five per 24 hours across both lists. Submitting the same email again will not reveal an existing link or change your preferences. For a confirmed signup, keep the preference link from your email or this browser.
