How to opt out, and when you cannot

  1. Check your trailing-365-day sales. If they are under $10,000, you can opt out.
  2. In Etsy's Shop Manager, open the Offsite Ads settings and switch them off.
  3. Allow up to three business days for your listings to stop appearing in offsite ads. An ad clicked before then can still produce a fee if the buyer orders within the 30-day window.

Once a shop reaches $10,000 in trailing-365-day sales, Etsy enrolls it permanently at 12% with no opt-out, even if sales later fall back under the line. A shop approaching the threshold loses the ability to opt out; that decision is worth making before you cross it.
